carbs make the meal

stephen and i went to south street in westwood for dinner one day... last week or two weeks ago. can't remember. anyway, it's the closest thing to authentic philly cheesesteaks/hoagies i've seen yet in la. they ship in amoroso bread all the way from philadelphia and i think that's the real key since, (bringing you back to SAT days)

amoroso bread:philly cheesesteaks/hoagies :: dough made with ny tap water:brooklyn-style pizza

it simply makes the meal.

they even have stock local philly-favorite, tastykakes. though i personally don't usually enjoy pre-packaged baked goods like that, i think the familiarity of it brings just another level of authenticity to the place.

conclusion: two thumbs up.

cleanliness next to godliness?

wesley, mr. germ-a-phobe himself, sent this to me, but i like how it tries to inform "without going overboard", so here it is.
